along with the giving him less food at a time, id also suggest changing his food to a better quality, like wellness, merrick or weruva. i had a cat that did that and i changed her food and it stopped. also id suggest mixing in a small amount of wet food, a lot of people do not know this, but the reason cats are prone to bladder crystals is because they are naturally dehydrated, so giving wet food decreases this, and since your cat is barfing like mad and loosing MORE fluids, this should also help.

I have a cat that does the same thing, he eats really quickly and then throws up. Put a little bit of food in his bowl at a time and see if a digestive aid or supplement will help.
